The heavy rains, recorded in the province of Camaná, Arequipa, caused the activation of the San Martín creek, resulting in the fall of a landslide that seriously affected the township of Secocha and other localities.
The mudslide that fell in the township of Secocha caused one of the deadliest disasters in recent years, according to the complementary report of INDECI (National Civil Defense Institute).
In this context, and within the framework of its Humanitarian Aid Program, the Wiese Foundation and its strategic ally Adra Perú, came together to attend to the needs of the disaster survivors.
Who were the beneficiaries of this humanitarian aid?
Due to the landslides, the access roads were seriously affected, a fact that complicated the entry into the different affected townships.
In this context, the Wiese Foundation, in alliance with ADRA PERÚ, made the donation of Kits to 200 families, in order to cover their nutrition, for a period of 5 days.
What does each Food Kit contain?
At the Wiese Foundation, we reaffirm our work and commitment to serving the most vulnerable communities in situations of emergency and disasters.
